This weeks storm saw strong winds and high tides hit Leith. Despite flood warnings affecting many parts of the Firth of Forth coastline, the wind, waves and tides did not coincide to produce any serious flooding in Leith. This picture above taken by Lindsay Scott of Newhaven Harbour shows the rough extent of the high tide that materialised.
Elsewhere, along the coast at Granton, Twitter user @PeterMoonlight wasn’t impressed with the antics of these two.

In Musselburgh, the river Esk nearly broke its banks, but not quite.

Sadly, that’s not to say that the first proper storm of the winter did not do any damage in Leith. Some buildings did see some damage in the high winds.
