There are loads of Christmas Trees floating about the streets at this time of year. So many, that the Edinburgh Sketcher has been moved to sketch about it, and his blog post is complete with the council advice on how to correctly dispose of your Christmas tree.
In the City Centre and Leith areas, the council are asking people who live in streets with communal bins to leave their trees by the bins on Monday the 6th, 13th and 20th. Please don’t stick them out on other days as they tend to blow about all over the street.
If you have a brown bin or live in a brown bin area, please place your tree at the kerbside, next to your bin, by 6am on your next garden waste day.
And if your tree is more than 6ft tall, officials are asking you to cut them in half too.
