Officials have revealed a further revision to the proposals for the next section of Leith Walk to be fixed this week.
The proposals go some way to addressing many of the concerns we, and others, raised about the quality of the cycle provision in the designs.
Whilst, there are some who still see room for improvement, officials have taken on board much of the feedback from groups such as Spokes.
Key changes include improvements to the design of the Pilrig Street junction, particularly for cyclists travelling northwards, a cycle-only contra-flow on the one-way junction proposed at Iona Street, and more work to improve the design where the cycle paths cross minor junctions.
This draft is likely to be the final version before the council goes to formal consultation on the proposals.
