This remarkable photo by Flickr user Gareth Timms captures the dramatic scenes at The Shore on Saturday night, as the emergency services fought to contain a large fire at The Granary pub.
Everyone inside the bar was evacuated safely, and the emergency services have confirmed that there were no injuries linked to the incident.
The fire took hold about 7pm in the bars kitchen area. It then spread rapidly into the roof area of the building.

Roads in the area were closed as around 30 fire-fighters were involved in tackling the fire.
The Shore is likely to be closed overnight. Currently one lane open on Bernard Street- police directing traffic.

They were still there in the morning, many hours later.

Another photo taken by Gareth shows the damage to the roof of the building in the cold light of day.
Despite the atrocious weather conditions firefighters managed to contain the fire without it spreading elsewhere.
