A pre-application notice has been approved by the council that could see significant change to an area of land in the Bonnington area. Whilst detailed proposals are still to follow, developers have teamed up with Hillcrest Housing association to put together a proposed ‘mixed use’ development of 220 – 240 affordable homes with associated infrastructure.
Existing buildings, which are mainly light industrial or commercial in scope are set to be demolished. You can see the site and the buildings affected in this map, below:
More details of the design will be revealed to interested members of the public at an exhibition that will take place on two dates in the Thomas Morton Hall at 28, Ferry Road. The exhibtion will be open on:
- 13th October, 6-9pm
- 15th October, 10-1pm
The development should also comply with this design brief that was set out by the council.
You can find the application documents on the planning portal here.
