It’s been more than a month since someone tried to park a white transit van in the Water of Leith at Coalie Park, but the temporary railings are still in place.
Last time someone indulged in a bit of aquatic parking they drove through two sets of railings to land in Newhaven Harbour and it was a white transit then too. It took more than two years before the temporary railings were removed and permanent fix put in place by the powers that be.
Can the authorities beat their railing repair record? It remains to be seen.
