More details of plans for a development of around 200 flats off Bonnington Road have been sent to Greener Leith by the architects EMA.
The proposals show that the light industrial buildings on the site will be replaced by four blocks of flats, dubbed ‘Bonnington Village’ with a small new green space and pedestrian link to be created where the development meets the Water of Leith.
The new link with the Water of Leith does open up interesting new opportunities to build a good quality cycle link through to Pilrig Park.
It should be noted that these plans are ‘pre-application’ proposals and therefore the architects are welcoming comments from members of the public, and may modify the proposals before they put in a formal planning application. You can send your comments to:
